By popular demand we are hosting another Food Matters Vanuatu Transformation Retreat, and you're invited! This therapeutic retreat will be a chance for you to enhance your mental and physical well-being with 5 nights of clean eating, yoga, energetic healing and clearing sessions, breathwork, sound healing meditations, workshops, and more.

  • Daily Yoga taught by renowned teacher Kat Finnerty. (All ability levels catered to.)
  • Clean Eating & Healthy Habits Workshop with me, Laurentine, on how to nourish and alkalize the body while creating healthy habits.

Kat Finnerty

Kat Finnerty is an author, yoga teacher, pilates and fitness instructor, nutritionist and mother of three who divides her time between Canada, Australia, and Vanuatu.
At 24, Kat was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) and told she would be in a wheelchair by the time she was 40. Rather than accept this diagnosis, she spent the next decade transforming her mind and body through Buddhism, yoga, meditation, and a holistic approach to health and nutrition. 

Kat is one of the few people on the planet to have cured her MS (out of 2 million MS sufferers worldwide) and is the author of an inspiring memoir, Never Let a Good Disaster go to Waste, and a powerful self-help book, How to Get Over Betrayal in 12 Hours-A Survival Manual for the Soul. Her mission is to help others short-cut their suffering by providing them with the superpowers to completely change their mindset around disasters and adversity and set them firmly on a path towards contentment and happiness. Not only is Laurentine a documentary filmmaker and producer of the award-winning Food Matters, Hungry For Change, and Transcendence films, founder of FMTV on Gaia, and author of the online health publication FoodMatters.com, she is also a  nutritionist, wellness coach, medical intuitive, herbalist, meditation and EFT guide, and conscious parent.

Everything Laurentine does and creates is for the greater good of humanity and the planet and with the ultimate intention to serve YOU. FAQs

  1. Do I have to participate in all activities? This retreat is 100% about nurturing YOU! We will offer a myriad of activities for you to choose from, and you are welcome to do as much or as little as your heart desires.
  2. What should I bring? The weather in Vanuatu is warm, and the culture is laid back. So clothing wise, you can bring your favorite active wear and what you feel most comfortable in. You're also welcome to bring a mask and snorkel. If you'd like to help make a donation to some of the local schools, we will also be collecting educational items such as children's books, pencils, pens, etc. 
  3. How do I get to the retreat? Transfers are all included, so let us know your flight arrival details and we will be there to welcome you at the airport, and transfer you to your accommodation. You will be provided a form after purchase to include these details. 
  4. Can I come by myself? Absolutely! Many fly solo, but you will leave as family.
  5. How do I book for myself and a friend/partner?  If you're traveling with a friend or partner you will each need to make an individual booking. After you've made your booking, you'll receive a confirmation email and be prompted to complete a retreat booking form where you can confirm any preferences if you're traveling with a partner or friend (eg. sharing a room and bedding configuration).
  6. Do you cater for special dietary requirements? We cater to all dietary requirements. Just let us know ahead of time, and our chefs will prepare you beautiful meals from our fresh organic produce.
  7. Do I need to be fit? Where you are now physically is perfect! There is absolutely no judgment or expectations.
  8. What is the refund or change of date policy? All participants must have comprehensive travel insurance, including medical insurance. If the retreat is cancelled by:
    a. Retreat organizer (due to unforeseen circumstances), retreat guests will receive a full refund of retreat fees. However, airfares will need to be referred to your travel insurance policy. If there is a date change and you are unable to attend, you will receive a full refund of retreat fees. 
    b. Retreat guest- as places are limited and likely to sell out, the following refund policy and cancellation fees will apply:
    - Full refund if cancelled before February 4
    - Full refund less a 10% cancellation fee if cancelled before February 11
    - No refund for cancellations received after February 11
