Southern California is a global Mecca for organic, local, sustainable, raw, living, vegan, vegetarian, paleo, keto, dairy-free, gluten-free and juice bar dining options.

I believe, in many ways, that they are leading the way in food innovation (meaning foods that are as natural as possible and minimally processed) and also imbibing that fresh SoCal twist.

Here are some of favorite places and meals (in no particular order).

1. PRESSED JUICERY on Main.

2. KREATION on Abbot Kinney.

Straight celery juice and their greens #3 juice. If you’re needing a ‘perk me up’ the vanilla iced latte is delicious.

3. BUTCHER’S DAUGHTER on Abbot Kinney.

Best decor ever. Great immunity shots and fresh pressed juice. The spaghetti squash dish is delicious!!!

 

4. BLUE PLATE OYSTERETTE on Pacific.

Excellent venue for oysters, fresh fish and farm-to-table vegetable sides!

 

5. CAFE GRATITUDE on Rose.

Never to be missed. The best. Always. (Desserts are divine)

6. TOCAYA ORGANICA on Pacific.

If you’re needing a Mexican hit and need it to be clean this is the place.

7. INTELLIGENTSIA COFFEE on Abbot Kinney.

For the coffee connoisseurs, this place is the go-to.

11. TRUE FOOD on 2nd.

Andrew Weil’s Santa Monica restaurant. The Kael salad is amazing.

And finally….

 

12. KIPPY’S ICE CREAM on Main.

Coconut ice cream deliciousness!!! Must try.
