Icy Coconut & Chia Drink (Recipe)

Such a simple and refreshing combination! Quick to make but still nice list of benefits to nourish your body!

Using a whole coconut to make a smoothie makes you appreciate these amazing ingredients from "The Tree Of Life" and ensures you receive the full benefits from the coconut. Coconuts contain one of the healthiest oils on Earth, providing profound positive effects on your health and wellbeing. Highly nutritious and rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber!

The humble chia seed is a powerhouse of nutrition all packed into one tiny little shell. Not only are they a wonderful source of protein, they also have a large range of essential and non essential amino acids and fiber. They also host a whole range of vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of coconut water (we used the water straight from a fresh coconut)
  • Flesh of the coconut (or 2 tablespoon dried coconut)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • Dash of coconut cream or milk (optional, as we used the flesh this was enough)
  • Lots of ice

Method

Blend together coconut water, fresh or dried coconut, chia seeds, a dash of coconut cream or milk and lots of ice! Sprinkle with chia seeds and enjoy!
