3 Banana-Free Smoothie Recipes

If there was a hierarchy of smoothie ingredients that you must use, bananas would be close to the top! There are many reasons to love bananas but maybe you are allergic, you don’t like them or you just want to smoothie outside of the regular smoothie boundaries.

There are plenty of other ingredients that will still give you that thick and smooth texture of #smoothiegoals that we all know are love. Here are some of our go-to recipes that ditch the banana:

Hemp & Vanilla Breakfast Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/4 - 1.2 cup frozen cauliflower
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk or cream
  • 1 cup filtered cold water
  • 2 tbsp hemp protein
  • 2 tbsp oats
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender or NutriBullet and blend until smooth and creamy.

Creamy Ginger Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • ½ Lebanese cucumber
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 tbsp nut butter
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, sliced, chopped or grated (depending on your blender)
  • ½ lemon
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • Optional: your favorite greens powder

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender or NutriBullet and blend until smooth and creamy.

Wild Blueberry and Lemon Banana Free Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wild blueberries
  • Juice and zest from 1/2 lemon
  • 1 cup nut milk of choice
  • 2 tbsp hemp hearts or protein

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender or NutriBullet and blend until smooth and creamy.
