Tastes like Turkish delight but with the health benefits of slippery elm to help your digestive system.
Slippery elm has a therapeutic action that is very much as the name suggests - it coats the lining of your stool and makes it ‘slippery’, which can be an excellent antidote to constipation. As with any supplements, start with a small dose and build slowly the recommended amount that is specified on the packaging.
- 1 tbsp slippery elm powder (start with 1 tsp and build up slowly if you are new to using slippery elm)
- 1 frozen banana (peeled)
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 tsp cacao nibs
- 1 spoon honey, or to taste
- Dash of rosewater essence (this makes the smoothie taste like chocolate Turkish Delight)
- Blend all ingredients together and enjoy!
